Super cool things for super cool people.

Ok people here we go! I've had a little time to compile some awesome stuff I've seen online so let's get right to it!

First up is an awesome iphone case I found. It's made of a non-newtonian substance which can be molded and shaped normally but when a great amount of force is applied it acts as a solid! It's about 25 dollars, don't ask me where you can get it, though I'm sure if you look on the net you can find it easy. Here's a link to the article and video on the case and some links to information about non newtonian fluids and where the tech is headed. One idea, bullet proof vest made out of the stuff. ....shazzam!

Non Newtonian fluid

These are just some concept shoe's I found. Not much to them, they'll likely never exist, but they look great so why not have a look. Click the picture for more information.

Now for something I'm really excited about, my new favorite uber phone, the Sony Ericcson XPERIA X2! This phone is simply amazing. Click the picture for a hands on video at engadget.

That's all I've got for now. I'll have more up later so check back often.

Printable batteries

More stuff coming across the wire today.
Researchers have come up with tiny printable batteries that they hope to have mass produced within the year. The batteries are very small with short lifespans and are capable of producing 1.5 volts of electricity individually and up to 6 volts when connected together. All this makes them perfect for small applications like greeting cards that have audio, etc.

Nano UAV Mimics Hummingbird

Alright everybody, I know it's been pretty dry out there lately but not today! Check this out. A company called Aerovironment has been hard at work on an NAV (Nano Air Vehicle) designed to mimic the humming bird! This little vehicle can fly under its own power using a pair of flapping robotic wings while being remotely controlled from the ground by its operator. That's pretty substantial stuff if you ask me. It's not done just yet but in the end they say it will look like the real deal, be able to sustain stable flight longer, and be controlled from a much farther distance. It's the kind of thing that I consider to be news worthy and almost a little creepy, but you know what? I like it and I want one. Hit the link for the full story and video!
